There was just one tiny disappointment in their service, though. The cashier charged us for a hut and when we arrived at the pool area we were informed that the hut was at the beach. So we had to go back to claim for refund because we paid for the pool. Some common sense was inactive there, huh. But hey, it was no hassle getting the refund, just added effort and energy consuming for walking back some fifty meters or so...
Bare Thoughts
This blog is an ambitious attempt to create an archive of random thoughts from different individuals in all walks of life. It has been well learned that brilliant ideas pop up in random, informal interactions. The key purpose of this blog is to peak into the unique thoughts of different individuals and see what experiences and ideas they can share from where we can learn a lesson. As a start, a network of friends were invited to share their bare thoughts in this blog.

Biggest Pizza Served in Cebu
This is a 32-inch pizza of Cebu. This is the largest size being served in Caldaz Pizza house somewhere in Lahug, Cebu City. The pizza is sooo big in size that needed two men to deliver holding it upward. And this is just for Php950.00!
There were more than a dozen hungry men out for food trip and this is what we discovered... Delicioso! I love the cheeesseeeyy flavour, made just right for my taste. This is just one fascinating experience of Cebu.

oVoo Video Conferencing
Source: oVoo website http://www.oovoo.com/?sc_lang=en
The internet age has changed the way businesses communicate. There is the Yahoo Messenger, GTalk, and Skype for a quick and real-time communication. But there is another impressive innovation of video technology, which was introduced mid of 2007, connecting people in real-time. oVoo was introduced featuring video conferencing and video chat service.
The recent global economic slow down compelled companies to reduce on costs. Business travels to conduct meetings is among the costly company expenditures and oVoo offers an economical alternative-video conferencing using oVoo. Indeed, why not? I have been using oVoo for quite some time now and the audio and video quality is just great! The video conferencing allows up to six people and it provides several other business solutions to include desktop sharing. Video conferencing offers diverse opportunities, which helps business organizations to cut on their costs like conducting trainings and/or meetings, connecting with employees and clients using the virtual communications service. Going virtual is highly recommended for modern age companies to save a lot of money, time, and effort while providing quality service and oVoo is just one brand that offers ease and convenience in terms of business communications. The good news are...the two-way video chat service is free and they offer 30 day free trial for video conferencing without requiring you to register your credit card! Isn't that convenient?

Wakeboard Camp Under Construction in Davao City
Photos by: Evelyn Bulahan
Another exciting adventure to watch out in Davao City! Reports claimed that the long pending construction of the Wakeboard Camp site at Deca Homes Resort Residences will finally be fully operational by the end of 2009. The 132-hectare housing project located at Tacunan, Mintal is developed with exciting tourist attraction facilities featuring the eco-tourism resort and the long awaited opening of the 4-hectare wakeboard camp with other amenities to include the clubhouse, swimming pool, basketball court, soccer field, parks, playgrounds, and lagoon.
Camarines Sur is about to share the limelight of Philippine water-sports. This makes one more reason to stay in Davao, if not for all, at least for me (-,-). The mountain view is just breathtaking from inside the subdivision. The air is cool under the striking twelve o'clock sun. The units may be small with 110 sqm. lot, but I would like to think that it is spacious enough for a small to medium-sized family, otherwise there is always the option to maximize the space with renovation and upward extension.
Visit Davao and explore the extreme adventure of wakeboarding experience soon!

A nice treat...
@ Bigby's today, I had a treat of Midnight Dream cake and a cup of moccha latte. Lost my diet, I was in deep exasperation of SMART Bro's abysmal service at home. I could not get anything done because the connection switched on and off like a burned out light bulb. But thanks to a yummy treat! I was back to work with added fervor (lol!).
The latte was good, but nothing beats Starbucks for my taste of coffee. The cake was too sweet but I liked the soft texture. Overall, it was fun! So, it goes again... something good always comes out of something bad.
The Challenge for Google
Early this month, Business Week published an article by Robert Hof that presented the challenges against Google, and questions whether Google can maintain its number one position on the web today? Not long ago, AOL and Yahoo! were the leading players in the world wide web until Google snatched the limelight and successfully stayed ahead. But the rising prominence of Facebook and Twitter along with the recent launch of Bing is a large threat to Google. Should Bing agree to the deal offered by Microsoft and fuse with Yahoo! is a greater threat to Google. Whether Google is to be defeated in this game is another story. But this reminds us that the ball is round and anything can happen. They say no one stays on top forever. Yes, there is a touch of truth to that but the bigger question is whether we fought a good fight.
On a personal note, I would agree with those holding their two thumbs up for Google, that Google is not about to give up its top rank as yet. The brilliant engineers are on their toes to keep Google ahead against their rivals. It is a long road to chase Google's tail in this race, but the challenge is in place and the battle has began. For many of us keeping watch, this brawl offers a better treat as the giants innovate to make our lives more convenient on the web!
